InterNATIONAL FOOTBALL SCOUTING: Mini Eval on WR Ricky Gehres:
Rick does a good job of getting off the line and then finding the open zone.He will consistently make the tough catch and has great concentration.I dont know yet about his top end speed for the CFL level but he does a great job of getting very wide open consistently due to his intelligence & route running ability. I'm interested in seeing his exact times.My grading scale for NFL/CFL WR's is as such: (His grades would be higher for indoor)
Summary Of Scout Grade:
overall grade 5, above avg, which is a Pro Prospect grade. I think Rick can compete for a job in a CFL camp with the right team and would be an impact player on an NIFL team which could gain him exposure for the CFL in the following year.Please let me know when you receive and have had a chance to review Rick's profile and research his abilities.If you can provide an address where I can have Rick send you some film I will make sure he gets that out to you ASAP.He is definitely a player that I think deserves your immediate attention so you will have sufficient information on him before your "open" tryouts.
